Each wine is scored 0 – 100 based on five components:
| Component | Max | What it measures |
| Retailer discount | 30 pts | How much cheaper Platinum is vs Grand Cru. Bigger discount = more points. |
| Market discount | 30 pts | How much cheaper Platinum is vs the Vivino market price. This catches “fake deals” where Grand Cru is just overpriced. |
| Wine quality | 25 pts | Vivino community rating (0 – 5 scale). Higher rated wines score more. |
| Confidence | 10 pts | Number of Vivino ratings. More ratings = more reliable signal. |
| Double-beat bonus | 5 pts | Bonus when Platinum beats both Grand Cru and Vivino market price. |
A score of 70+ means the wine is well-rated, well-reviewed, and genuinely cheaper on Platinum than both the competitor and the open market.
